In this article, learn how to customize your LocationHQ dashboard to emphasize your own brand.
You can add your logo and change the look and feel of most components in the dashboard, including:
- Brand colors
- Text font, color, size
- Chart colors
- Table colors
- All card borders and colors
You must have an Account Admin or a Reseller Admin user role to edit the dashboard for all users. Sub-accounts can have their own theme that is different from that of the main account. To create a sub-account theme navigate to the sub-account and follow the instructions.
Adding your logo
Follow these steps to add your logo to your account’s dashboard. It’ll appear in preview form in the upper left corner.
- Login to your Chatmeter account in LocationHQ.
- Go to Settings > Theme.
- On the Logo tab, drag or browse to upload your own logo file. You’ll automatically see a preview in the upper left. Select Preview mode to see a preview on other pages.
- If you’re happy with it, select Save & Apply.
Using a theme
Chatmeter includes seven pre-built themes. You can also combine use of a pre-built theme with changes to brand and chart colors.
Follow these steps to customize your theme:
- Login to your Chatmeter account in LocationHQ.
- Go to Settings > Theme.
- On the Theme tab, you can select one of the seven pre-built themes from the Select Theme selector. The themes will preview on your dashboard as you select them.
- You can try out different colors for brand and charts for the selected theme, and preview on the visible dashboard. Select Preview Mode to see more of the dashboard with your selected theme and colors.
- When you’re happy with your selections, select Save & Apply.
Customizing just about everything
If you want to do an extensive set of changes to include just about everything or just some specific needs, use the Customize tab. You can change:
- Brand Colors—Select the colors you want to use as primary, secondary, success, info, warning, danger, light, and dark. Click on the color you want to change to display a dialog offering ways to define the color you need.
- Chart Colors—Select 12 colors to use in charts. Click to select a color to change to display a dialog offering ways to define the color you need.
- General—Select colors for body text, headings text, selected/active components, transparency, page background, and content divider
- Cards—Select colors for card body background, card header background, card header text, and card border. Select card shadows if desired. Specify card border radius and header and footer padding.
- Inputs—Select input text color, background color, disabled input background color, input border color, and button background/border color
- Fonts—Select body and heading fonts, headings font weight, link text color, and muted/inactive text color
- Tables—Select odd row background color and table hover background color
Follow these steps to customize:
- Login to your Chatmeter account in LocationHQ.
- Go to Settings > Theme.
- On the Customize tab, specify the necessary changes. They will preview on your dashboard as you select them. Select Preview Mode to see more of the dashboard with your specified changes.
- When you’re happy with your selections, select Save & Apply.
