SEO Rankings information in LocationHQ can give you a good idea of how well your locations’ listings are showing up when potential customers search on the web for a business like yours. Where do they rank in search results? Higher than similar businesses or lower? Is your business on the first page of results, or later? In other words, how easily can potential customers discover your business through web search?
To get information on your business’s findability, go to Insights > (Dashboards) SEO Rankings.
Chatmeter includes two types of reports on search findability in LocationHQ:
- The SEO Rankings reports show the average rank of your location relative to other businesses found when searches are conducted using the keywords set up for your location(s).
- The Page 1 Rankings reports show the number of times your business listing shows up in the first page of the listing providers’ results when searches are conducted using the keywords set up for your location(s).
To switch between the two types of reports, use the tabs on LocationHQ’s Insights > (Dashboards) SEO Rankings > SEO Ranking page to select either SEO Rankings (default) or Page 1 Rankings.

- Local search—Reports the ranking of your business in the local results when users search geographical locations like cities or states or ZIP codes
- Web/organic search—Reports the search ranking when users search for your business’s keywords on sites such as bing.com, google.com, or yahoo.com
You can select whether to look at the reports for local or web/organic searches by selecting Local or Web (organic) in Page Filters.
Keywords used in search rankings
Keywords are added for a location when the location is added to LocationHQ. You can change them by editing the location data. You must have at minimum Edit Location in your user role to add or change keywords. For information about editing or adding a location, see Adding a New Location.
