Google, like most providers (if not all), will not remove a review unless it directly violates their policies. Vulgar language, racial slurs, conflicts of interest (competitor), or reviewing the wrong business can qualify a review for removal from Google. If the review is false, there must be indisputable evidence of the disparagement or Google will not be able to remove them.
Here is how the process works:
- Click “Flag as inappropriate,” using the flag icon on the bottom right of the review, answer brief questions
- Google will assess your request
- If necessary, Google will remove the review from your listing
