Google changed the search metrics it collects, which resulted in changes to the metrics that Chatmeter offers through LocationHQ. In February 2023, we updated our LocationHQ interface to adapt to the Google changes. Find the changes listed in this article.

Google component-related changes
The Google component-related changes are the following:
Google metrics that were removed:
- Branded Search Views
- Direct Search Views
- Discovery Search Views
- Photos Added
- Post Views
- Photo Views
- Other
Google metrics that were added:
- Bookings
- Food Orders
- Messages
Changes to the LocationHQ in Insights > (Dashboards) > Search Insights for Google include:
- Total Views from Search card has been removed
- Views from Search tab has been removed
- The top card titles have been changed:
- Total Search Appearances is now Total Searches
- Total Actions is now Total Interactions
- The Actions tab has been renamed to Interactions
- The following metrics have been renamed
- Driving Directions is now Directions
- Phone Calls is now Calls
Changes to the Search Appearances tab for Google to divide Google Search and Maps across device platforms. These metrics are now displayed on the Search Appearances tab:
